What makes the Paw Path® truly special is the combination of the lattice, the fences, and the free standing tray.

The openings of the lattice section are 3/8" square with rounded tops. It is ideal for the sensitive paws of any cat from kitten to senior. The shape gently spreads the paws as a cat walks across, releasing any litter caught in them. The length of the lattice (24") accommodates about three treads of an average adult cat, which not only collects most of the litter, it's a very comfortable space for your cat to enter and exit the litterbox.

The fences encourage your cat to walk across the entire Paw Path®. If your cat doesn't use the entire litter mat and takes a shortcut, what good is having a litter mat in the first place? An added advantage of the fences is that it will deflect litter that rambunctious kitties can kick out of the litter box! (We've got one of those at home, and the Paw Path™ has been a life saver.)

The tray is free standing, and can be pulled out easily for cleaning. The litter collected in the tray can either be reused or disposed of. The supports attached to the tray make the lattice section very stable and strong, so that your cat will be very comfortable walking along it.

The Paw Path® is made of extremely durable plastic of very high quality. It is manufactured through a process called "injection molding [double check]," making it sufficient to hold the weight of any cat (even those who are, shall we say…big boned?). It's built to last for years!

The Paw Path® comes in a pleasant neutral color (oyster gray) which will blend in with any surrounding, and will complement any color litter box.

You'll also appreciate how easy it is to clean and maintain the Paw Path®. Any dirt or debris will easily come off. Simple use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water and a mild detergent. There are no moving parts that can break or malfunction - it's completely safe! If you're moving, it can be conveniently flat packed.

To achieve the best results, your cat must walk the entire length of the Paw Path® when exiting the litterbox. Please consider the placement of your litterbox and the Paw Path™ carefully, based on your cat's tendencies. Place the Paw Path® in the most convenient location for your cat to discourage him or her from jumping over the fences when leaving the litterbox.
